The annuloplasty device comprises valve tissue including an annulus and a pair of leaflets, comprising an atrial side and a ventricular side. The annuloplasty device also comprises a first (5) and a second (6) support member, and wherein the support members, overlap each other for forming a scissor linkage and wherein the first and second support members are configured to pinch the leaflets.
