There is provided an adaptor (40) for forming an electrical connection between a medical device having a first type of connector and an electrode having a second type of connector. The adaptor comprises a first connecting part (42) shaped to cooperate with a corresponding connecting part on one of the medical device and the electrode so as to form a mechanical and electrical connection therebetween. The adaptor (40) further comprises a second connecting part (44) comprising a portion of magnetic or ferromagnetic material (46) arranged to be magnetically attracted to a corresponding magnet or portion of ferromagnetic material comprised in a magnetic connector part on the other of the medical device and the electrode, so as to form a magnetic and electrical connection therebetween. The first connecting part (42) is electrically connected to the second connecting part (44).Linvention concerne un adaptateur (40) pour former une connexion électrique entre un dispositif médical ayant un premier type de connecteur et une électrode ayant un second type de connecteur. Ladaptateur comprend une première pièce de connexion (42) formée pour coopérer avec une pièce de connexion correspondante sur un du dispositif médical et de lélectrode pour former ainsi une connexion mécanique et électrique entre eux. Ladaptateur (40) comprend en plus une seconde pièce de connexion (44) comprenant une portion de matériau magnétique ou ferromagnétique (46) disposée pour être attirée de manière magnétique à un aimant ou une portion correspondant(e) de matériau ferromagnétique compris dans une pièce de connecteur magnétique sur lautre du dispositif médical et de lélectrode, de manière à former une connexion magnétique et électrique entre eux. La première pièce de connexion (42) est électriquement connectée à la seconde pièce de connexion (44).
