An anchoring device andmethod for attaching an object to a bonecom-prises an anchoring member having proximaland distal ends, with the proximal end beingadapted to hold the object to the bone whilethe distal end is in the bone, and a lockingmember having proximal and distal ends, withthe proximal end adapted to secure thean-choring member into the bone and oppose itspull-out or loosening by stopping its backingor preventing its unscrewing while the distalend is in the bone. Also provided are first andsecond fasteners, with the first fasteneradapt-ed to fit to the proximal end of the anchoringmember, and the second fastener adapted to fitto the proximal end of the locking member.The end of the second fastener can have anangle that matches an angle of the lockingmember.
