A rehabilitation clothing system comprises a fitted garment with at least one integrated pocket which is used to accommodate pads which combine thermal function and massage means. The garment may be of a lightweight breathable flexible woven material with a multi-way stretch. It may also have wicking and anti-microbial properties. The pockets are preferably positioned over muscle areas or joints, tendons and ligaments, and may be shaped to match a particular part of the body. The pads are heat retentive or containing a heat generating medium. They may be gel filled; the gel being heated or cooled by external means or self-heating or self-cooling when activated. The pads may be reusable. The pads may also include massage beads.
