PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening method and a proper evaluation system for developing a drug uniformly having cell-death inducing activity on all cancer cells, or a drug preventing the all cancer cells from proliferating, or for developing an assistant drug for making a known anticancer agent evenly act on the all cells, or an assistant drug for recovering sensitivity of known anticancer agent resistant strains.SOLUTION: Cancer cell population is seminated at a low density and cultured to form a colony on each cancer cell. Then a test drug is added, and a cell image is captured with time and compared with a result attained without adding the test drug to calculate the proliferation rate of the cell and cell-death inducing rate of the test drug accurately on each colony. The average values of the proliferation rate of the cell and the cell-death inducing rate of the whole cell population are calculated from the values of each colony, together with variation coefficient (C.V.) of both data for each cell, and these values are calibrated by a control to evaluate the efficacy as an anticancer agent or as an assistant drug of known anticancer agents. Meanwhile adverse effect degree on normal cells is evaluated by performing contrast experiment when using normal cells in the case of screening the anticancer agents in conjunction with contrast experiment when added with only the assistant drug in the case of screening the assistant drug, and then by calculating the average value of the proliferation rate of the cell and the cell-death inducing rate of the whole cell population, together with variation coefficient (C.V.).COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、全ての癌細胞に対して均一に細胞死誘導活性を有する薬剤もしくは全ての癌細胞に対して増殖を抑制する薬剤、又は既知の抗癌剤が全ての細胞に対して一様に作用するような補助薬剤、既知抗癌剤耐性株の感受性回復のための補助薬剤の開発につながるスクリーニング方法、適切な評価システムを提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】本発明は、癌細胞集団を低密度で播種・培養して、個々の癌細胞毎にコロニーを形成させた後、被検薬剤を添加して細胞画像を経時的に取得し、被検薬剤を添加しない場合の画像と比較することで、被検薬剤に対する細胞の増殖率と細胞死の誘導率とをコロニー毎に正確に算出する。次いで、各コロニー毎の値から細胞集団全体の細胞の増殖率と細胞死誘
