FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: radiation emanating from the object is recorded using a thermal imager connected to a computer and monitor with the color infrared image function, and a heat map is obtained. Radiation is recorded at fixed position of the patients head, in which the angle between the normal line drawn to the surface of the examined periodontal area, and the thermal imager axis does not exceed 60°. At that, the first readings recorded by the thermal imager are those from the periodontal alveolar bone mucosa in the place of possible inflammation in the absence of infrared radiation for 10-12 seconds. Then the readings obtained at exposure to an infrared radiation source, which is located at a distance of 40-50 cm from the place of possible inflammation for 12-15 seconds. Then the thermal imager readings are recorded for 25 seconds during cooling of the exposed surface of the periodontal. Further, the disease is diagnosed by slow reaction to the thermal effect and to the termination of this exposure as compared with the same periodontal reaction of healthy individuals.EFFECT: possibility of safe highly sensitive non-invasive informative diagnosis of periodontal changes prior to manifestation of the clinical signs of the disease in the absence of contraindications to the proposed research.2 dwg, 1 ex
