The present invention provides a peptide composition which is capable of achieving a good balance between excellent storage stability and transparency. A peptide composition according to the present invention is obtained by blending a self-assembling peptide, a buffering agent that contains one or more nitrogen atoms and has a pKa of 3.5 or more but less than 7.5, and water. This peptide composition has a pH of 4.5-6.6.
