Disclosed are specific aphid dsRNA constructs that target either Chloride Intracellular Channel (CLIC) gene expression or Sucrase gene expression. Also disclosed is the use of dsRNA constructs of a CLIC gene to interfere with critical functions of CLIC gene peptide products. A novel method to develop nucleic acid control for pest management is also disclosed.
