An elongate implantable electrical line including an end component at one longitudinal end of the electrical line, wherein the end component includes at least one electrically conductive electrode surface electrically connected to the electrical line. The end component is a composite component that includes at least one thin metal layer with a layer thickness less than 1 &mum. The at least one thin metal layer is applied to electrically insulating material of the composite component and is conductively connected to the electrical line, such that the at least one thin metal layer includes, or acts as, an electrode surface. The at least one thin metal layer includes an outer surface and is completely covered completely by at least one outer ceramic layer on the outer surface, such that the at least one thin metal layer is electrically insulated from a surrounding environment.
