PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument maintaining smooth operation and high functionality with a bolt and a nut hardly becoming loose.SOLUTION: A medical instrument formed by crossing the distal ends of operating parts 14, 14 having resilient members 11, 12, and connecting the distal ends by a journal part 13 to provide the distal ends with function parts 11a, 12a for gripping, holding, cutting, etc., is configured to operate the function parts 11a, 12a by changing a pressing force applied to the resilient members 11, 12. The journal part 13 includes a shaft body 131 inserted through a crossing part for crossing the distal ends of the operating parts 14, 14 a caulking part 131a caulking one end of the shaft body 131 and a sliding member 133 fittingly mounted between the crossed operating parts 14, 14.
