The purpose of the present invention is to repel Zika virus using a phytoncide liquid or oil extracted from Chamaecyparis obtusa. A preparation method of a mosquito insect repellent of the present invention comprises the steps of: processing an essential oil of Chamaecyparis obtusa extracted from Chamaecyparis obtusa by a steam distillation method； and preparing the mosquito insect repellent comprising phytoncide components called as tetraphenes using the processed essential oil of Chamaecyparis obtusa, wherein the steam distillation method is a method which does not change aromatic components by heat of steam since most of the essential oil of Chamaecyparis obtusa is not dissolved into water.편백 나무로부터 추출된 편백 정유는 대부분 물에 녹지 않기 때문에 수증기 의 열에 의해 향기 성분이 변화되지 않는 방법인 수증기 증류법을 이용하여 가공하여, 테트라펜류라는 피톤치드 성분을 지카 바이러스를 퇴치할 수 있다.
