The present invention relates to a preparation of novel compound derived from curcumin (dicyclopentyl compound (lE,6E)-l,7-bis (4-cyclopentyl- 3- methoxyphenyl) -1,6- heptadiene-3,5-dione in triglycerides and sesame oil for sustained release of therapeutic agents. The present invention in general relates to novel dicyclopentyl compound in triglycerides and sesame oil by emuisification technique. The present method involves biopolymer namely chitosan modified PLGA (poly lactic -glycolic acid) and tora lactomannan for enhancing the rate of formation of emulsion and for the sustained release of therapeutic agents.
