A milking system comprises an automatic robotic milking device having acontrol unit, and is configured to milk a dairyanimal fully automatically to form a milking. The system comprises also a milktreatment device connected to the milking device forreceiving and treating the milked milk of the milking. The milking devicecomprises an animal identification device which is operativelyconnected to the control unit for identifying the dairy animal and comprisingan animal database with information about at least thecomposition of the milk from the dairy animal, and/or a milk sensor devicewhich is operatively connected to the control unit forcollecting information about the composition of the milked milk. The milktreatment device is connected to the control unit for receivingsaid information and comprises a standardization device which is configured tostandardize a fat content and/or a protein content of themilk of the milking. The milk treatment device controls the standardizationdevice on the basis of the information associated with thatmilking. Thus, the standardization device is able to function veryefficiently, but at relatively large volumes.
