A method for colouring hair, comprising the step of applying to the hair a composition comprising a dye polymer in which the dye polymer is obtainable by the reaction of a NH2 group directly and covalently bound to an aromatic ring of a dye i) with a reactive group of a polymeric compound ii) in which the reactive group is selected from the group consisting of isocyanate oxazolone epoxide ester, and anhydride.La présente invention concerne une méthode de coloration des cheveux qui comprend létape dapplication sur les cheveux dune composition comprenant un polymère de coloration. Dans cette étape dapplication, le polymère de coloration est obtenu par la réaction dun groupe NH2 lié directement et par covalence à un anneau aromatique dun colorant i) avec un groupe réactif dun composé polymère ii) ledit groupe réactif étant sélectionné dans le groupe formé par isocyanate oxazolone époxyde ester et anhydride.
