A method for stably maintaining and culturing "hepatic stem precursor-like cells" generated in the process of inducing the differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into hepatocytes is provided. By maintaining the hepatic stem precursor-like cells, it is possible to prepare desired mature cells, such as mature hepatocytes and biliary duct epithelial cells in a short period of time and obtain them at a desired time. Then, it was shown that the obtained cultured hepatic stem precursor-like cells can be induced to differentiate into mature hepatocytes, mature cholango cell biliary duct epithelial cells and the like. As a result, the substantially pure culture of the present invention can be utilized as a composition for transplantation for regenerating hepatocytes and / or bile duct epithelial cells.多能性幹細胞から肝細胞への分化誘導の過程で発生する「肝幹前駆様細胞」に関し、安定的に維持培養する方法を提供する。さらに本発明は、前記培養方法により得られた培養物を提供する。肝幹前駆様細胞をラミニンと接触させることで肝幹前駆様細胞を安定的に維持培養することができる。ラミニンを使用する本発明の方法により初めて肝幹前駆様細胞を培養し、維持、増殖させることが可能となった。肝幹前駆様細胞を維持することで、所望の成熟細胞、例えば成熟肝細胞や胆管上皮細胞を短期間に作製し、所望の時期に入手することが可能となる。そして得られた培養肝幹前駆様細胞は、成熟肝細胞や成熟胆管細胞胆管上皮細胞などに分化誘導できることが示された。これにより、本発明の実質的に純粋な培養物は、肝細胞及び/又は胆管上皮細胞再生のための移植用組成物として利用することができる。
