PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating device which allows a high concentration of positive ions and negative ions coexist in a wide range of space so as to clean the air.SOLUTION: The ion generating device includes: an air-blowing mechanism 190 vertically arranged ducts 111 and 112 which extend in the direction away from the air-blowing mechanism 190 so as to constitute flow channels in which a gas blown by the air-blowing mechanism 190 is conducted a plurality of blowout ducts having a flow channels communicating with the above-described flow channels parallel arranged to the vertically arranged ducts 111 and 112 in the extending direction of the vertically arranged ducts 111 and 112, which blow out gas in the direction intersecting the extending direction and ion generating parts arranged to the respective blowout ducts for generating ions. Among the blowout ducts, a first blowout duct 120a located farthest from the air-blowing mechanism blows out positive ions. Among the blowout ducts, a second blowout duct 130a adjacent to the first blowout duct 120a blows out negative ions.
