PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for raw material of an artificial nail capable of being removed with ethanol, having excellent hardness, and capable of forming an artificial nail with high glossiness.SOLUTION: A composition for raw material of an artificial nail comprises: a urethane modified methacrylate (component C) having a copolymer of ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) a first methacrylate (component D) and a photopolymerization initiator (component E). It is preferable that the urethane modified methacrylate (component C) is obtained from raw material containing a urethane prepolymer (component A) having the copolymer of EO and PO, and a second methacrylate (component B) having a hydroxy group.
