According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus (100) for measuring waves travelling a fish cage (102), said apparatus (100) being configured to be attached to the fish cage (102), to receive waves travelling the fish cage (102) and to determine at least one type of waves from the received waves, wherein the apparatus (100) is operatively connected to an alarm system (104) and the apparatus (100) is configured to cause one or more alarm operations of the alarm system (104), when a received wave from the fish cage (102) corresponds to the at least one type of waves.Selon un aspect donné à titre d'exemple de la présente invention, il est décrit un appareil (100) permettant de mesurer des ondes déplaçant une cage à poissons (102), ledit appareil (100) étant conçu pour être fixé à la cage à poissons (102), pour recevoir des ondes déplaçant la cage à poissons (102) et pour déterminer au moins un type d'ondes à partir des ondes reçues, l'appareil (100) étant connecté de manière fonctionnelle à un système d'alarme (104) et l'appareil (100) étant conçu pour déclencher une ou plusieurs opérations d'alarme du système d'alarme (104), lorsqu'une onde reçue provenant de la cage à poissons (102) correspond au(x) type(s) d'ondes.
