PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing and regulating the content of amylose in albumen of a plant. SOLUTION: The gene includes a promoter to be expressed in the albumen, a forward sequence homologous to the first exon of a Wx gene, and a backward sequence complementary to the forward sequence. The gene is useful because the expression of the Wx gene which is a grain-binding type starch-synthetic gene is albumen-specifically interfered in a plant by utilizing an RNAi (RNA interference) method which uses the phenomenon in which the expression of the gene having the sequence homologous to a dsRNA is interfered by the expression of the dsRNA (a double strand RNA) in the cell.
