To provide a method for simply detecting a degree of peritoneopathy from an aspect that it is not necessarily performed that the degree of the peritoneopathy of a patient is grasped because there is no simple method of detecting the degree of the peritoneopathy though the grasping of the degree of the peritoneopathy of the patient is extremely important from a clinical aspect but the transfer to hemodialysis from peritoneal dialysis is important in order to prevent the sideration of peritoneal sclerosis, sclerosing peritonitis and especially EPS at proper time by monitoring the degree of peritoneopathy in order to safely execute and widely spread a peritoneal dialysis remedy.

SOLUTION: The method for detecting the degree of peritoneopathy is constituted so as to detect the concentration of the substance related to a glycolysis system or a Krebs cycle, concretely glutamic acid, aspartic acid and S-adenosylmethionine or the metabolite of each of them from a specimen being the dialysing waste solution of peritoneal dialysis sampled from the abdominal cavity.
