PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively diffuse a chemical liquid, containing an insecticide, into a treating space by using a comparatively safe method.
SOLUTION: The method for controlling insect pest includes a step of initially continuously spraying the chemical liquid containing the insecticide, and a step of intermittently spraying the chemical liquid, after the former step. The insecticide is, for example, metofluthrin. By means of such a method, the chemical liquid can be diffused efficiently into the treating space so as to become comparatively safe with respect to human beings or animals, other than insect pests.
