The device has a pump (4) producing an alternating pressure signal with alternating pressure pulses at a suction attachment (1). A heart rate monitor (8) measures pulsations of measured pulses of a patient. A control device i.e. electronic control device (11), is connected with the monitor and the pump. The control device evaluates the pulsations of the measured pulses and produces a control signal such that the pulsations of the pulses at a wound region is synchronized with the alternating pressure pulses of the alternating pressure signal. The control signal controls the pump.
