A surgical console, comprising:pneumatic valveat least a first port and a second port connected to the valve, wherein the valve is adapted to alternately provide pressurized gas to each of the first port and the second portat least one pressure sensor connected to the at least one first port and a second port anda controller coupled to the valve and the pressure sensor, wherein the controller is adapted to control the time valve open and closed channel state, in accordance with the working cycle of the valvewherein the controller is configured to receive pressure data from said at least one pressure sensor wherein the controller is adapted to modify the working cycle of the valve based on the received pressure data.2. The surgical console of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to receive pressure data from said at least one pressure sensor for use in determining the measured pressure differential between the first port and the second port, and wherein the controller is configured to modify valve working cycle based on a difference between the measured pressure difference and average pressure drop desired.3.
