There is provided a spacer for radiotherapy which can be easily placed in a living body and which is capable of effectively isolating tissues other than tissues to be treated from the need for open surgery for removing spacers placed after radiation therapy. The present invention relates to a spacer for ionizing radiation treatment including a fiber aggregate in which a fibrous material composed of a biocompatible synthetic polymer material is entangled in a three-dimensional manner. Specifically, it is made of a spacer having a thickness of 1 mm to 100 mm.용이하게 생체에 배치할 수가 있고 또한 방사선 치료 후 배치한 스페이서를 꺼내기 위한 개복 수술의 필요가 없고, 치료 대상의 조직으로부터 그 이외의 조직을 효과적으로 격리할 수 있는 방사선 치료용의 스페이서를 제공한다. 생체 적합성의 합성 고분자 재료로 이루어지는 섬유상 재료를 삼차원적으로 교락한 섬유 집합체를 포함한 전리방사선 치료용 스페이서에 의한다. 구체적으로는 두께가 1 mm~100 mm로 이루어지는 스페이서에 의한다.
