PURPOSE: A porous PLGA microsphere containing simvastatin and a method for preparing the same are provided to enable persistent drug release.CONSTITUTION: A porous PLGA(poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)) microsphere contains simvastatin in a porous structure. The diameter of the microsphere is 100-500 um. The surface and inside of the microsphere have a plurality of holes.
