A major object of the present invention is to provide a skin emulsion composition comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of polyacrylic acids and salts thereof, an alkyl-modified carboxy polymer, and a compound represented by formula (I)wherein R1, R2, and R3 are the same or different and represent C1-3 alkyl or C1-3 alkyl substituted with at least one hydroxyl group, with the proviso that at least one of R1, R2, and R3 is C1-3 alkyl substituted with at least one hydroxyl group, with the viscosity of the composition being 10,000 mPa·s or more.
