PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing fine and variously shaped gel with high precision, and to provide a method for manufacturing the gel.SOLUTION: The gel manufacturing apparatus jets a first liquid 12 containing a gel forming component to a second liquid 14 that reacts to become gel so that a gel 18 of the first liquid 12 and the second liquid 14 is manufactured. The apparatus includes: a container 10 having a recessed portion 20 formed in the surface, and for accommodating the second liquid 14 in the recessed portion 20； and a jet mechanism 16 for jetting a droplet of the first liquid 12 to the second liquid 14 accommodated in the recessed part 20.
