The invention relates to a composition, preferably a cosmetic composition, comprising at least one aqueous phase comprising baïcaline, or an extract containing it, the baïcaline being solubilized and having a mass concentration greater than or equal to 0.2% with respect to the total mass of the composition, said composition having a pH of 5 to 6. The invention also relates to a process for preparing such a composition and the uses of such a composition, especially in cosmetics.
