PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper superior in the flexibility and/or air permeability, to be hardly broken if a side panel is strongly pulled.SOLUTION: The disposable diaper 1 includes an absorbent body 2 with an absorber and stretchable side panels 3. Each side panel 3 has two sheets and a plurality of elastic members 33 fixed between the sheets, and a fastening tape 4 is provided at the distal end of the side panel. The side panel 3 has a body side adhesive layer 35 and a distal end side adhesive layer 36 fixing the elastic member 33 on either side of a stretchable region 30, and is joined to the absorbent body 2 via a body connecting adhesive layer 65. The body connecting adhesive layer 65 and the body side adhesive layer 35 are separate from each other in the lateral direction X of the diaper. A plurality of fusing parts 6 fusing a sheet constituting the absorbent body 2 to the side panel 3 are formed intermittently in the longitudinal direction Y of the diaper. The respective fusing parts 6 are formed across from the body connecting adhesive layer 65 to the body side adhesive layer 35.
