The present invention provides a mandelic acid solution containing mandelic acid and N-methyl pyrrolidone (NMP). The mandelic acid solution of this invention may contain greater amount of mandelic acid and make the mandelic acid stably existed in the solution without occurrence of precipitation phenomenon.
