An afflicted area of the body may be rolled on top of the roller system (1) without any interference from the low-profile base (6) to alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with muscle or connective tissue ailments. Variations in the type of base (6), massage body (4) and sleeve (3) used, allow the user to reconfigure the roller system (1) to maximize performance according to the body part and injury being massaged.
