A lure comprising a body with a head section and a tail section. The body comprises a lip extending forwardly and downwardly from the head section. The head section comprises an organ for attaching a fishing line. To provide improved control over the lure while fishing, the lip is detachably connectable to the body of the lure. With the lure according to the invention, the fisherman can select the depth of the lure for a given speed with which the lure is moved through the water.
