PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage containing lactic acid bacteria, in which a temporal decrease of the number of living lactic acid bacteria is suppressed, when the beverage is stored, without exerting a bad influence on the taste quality, flavor or physical properties of a final product, and to provide a method for suppressing the temporal decrease of the number of living lactic acid bacteria.SOLUTION: A fixed amount of calcium lactate is incorporated in the beverage containing lactic acid bacteria.
