PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide greenhouse cultivation control apparatuses and methods which can provide throughout the year an environment where plants of greenhouse cultivation can always perform suitable transpiration and photosynthesis, the structure of the apparatus being simple, and the manufacturing cost of the apparatus being low.SOLUTION: The subject can be solved by having a light shielding material blocking solar radiation coming into a house, a thermal insulation material suppressing the decline of the temperature inside of the house, means for expanding/contracting the light shielding material and the heat insulating material, time setting means for setting the expansion and contraction time of the heat insulating material, light intensity-detecting means for measuring the light intensity of solar radiation, and control means for controlling time for expanding/contracting the thermal insulation material by an expansion and contraction means based on the time setting information from the time setting means as well as for controlling light by expanding/contracting the light shielding material based on the light intensity detection information from the light intensity-detecting means and the light intensity setting information from light control setting means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
