The present invention relates to a device for protecting an oral cavity and a jaw joint comprising: a tongue protecting unit which covers a tongue； and a foreign substance blocking unit which is combined with a back side of the tongue protecting unit, and closes an oropharyngeal space. The tongue protecting unit is composed of a hard material； enables an upper surface to be convexly projected to an upper direction to have an outer shape which is same as the tongue； enables an inner space to have a complementary shape to the outer surface of the tongue by concavely inserting a lower surface in the upper direction； and includes a cover unit, and a pair of wing units. The cover unit includes a slot which is inserted at a predetermined length into an inner side along a width direction of the tongue on a back end unit. The pair of wing units are extended in a direction which is vertical to the length direction of the tongue in a back side of the cover unit. The foreign substance blocking unit is composed of a soft material； and includes: a curved unit, a wing griping unit, and a mounting unit. The curved unit includes a pair of vents which include a complementary outer shape to the oropharyngeal space, where left and right side ends are inserted at the predetermined length. The wing gripping unit is extended on a lower side of the curved unit in left and right sides； and forms an inner space of a complementary shape to the wing unit of the tongue protecting unit. The mounting unit is projected on the lower side of the curved unit.
