According to an embodiment of the present invention, an LED lighting device for columns which uses sunlight comprises: an external case which is embedded with a photovoltaic module having an LED configured to emit light by converting solar energy into electric energy and which is configured to transmit light emitted from the LED while protecting the photovoltaic module； a photovoltaic panel portion which is connected with the photovoltaic module； a control portion which sets and controls the LED to emit the electric energy converted in the photovoltaic module； and a coupling portion which is provided on a lower end of the external case to be fixed to an upper end of a column. The external case includes a first end to which the photovoltaic panel is attached and a second end which is configured to transmit light emitted from the LED and coupled to the first end. In addition, the LED is provided on the external case to emit light downwards.본 발명의 실시예에 따른 태양광을 이용한 지주용 LED조명장치에 있어서, 태양 에너지를 전기 에너지로 전환시켜 LED가 발광되도록 마련된 태양광모듈을 내장하여 상기 태양광모듈을 보호하면서 상기 LED에서 발광되는 빛을 투과시키기 위해 마련되는 외부 케이스； 상기 태양광모듈과 연동되는 태양광패널부； 상기 태양광모듈로부터 전환된 전기 에너지를 상기 LED가 발광되도록 설정되어 제어하는 제어부 및 지주 상단에 고정되도록 상기 외부 케이스의 하단에 구비되는 결합부를 포함하고, 상기 외부 케이스는 상기 태양광패널이 부착되는 제1단 및 상기 LED에서 발광되는 빛을 투과시키도록 구비되며 상기 제1단과 결합되는 제2단을 포함하되, 상기 LED는 빛을 하측방향으로 발광되도록 상기 외부 케이스에 구비되는 것을 특징으로 하는 태양광을 이용한 지주용 LED조명장치를 제공할 수 있다.
