The present invention relates to a composition comprising edible extracts of Lactuca sativa for preventing or treating endothelial inflammatory diseases. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating endothelial inflammatory diseases, comprising edible extracts of Lactuca sativa which show the effects of inhibiting the production of endothelial inflammation-related factors, inhibiting the production of cell adhesion proteins, and inhibiting adhesion of monocytic cells a cosmetic composition a quasi-drug composition and a food composition. According to the present invention, the edible extracts of Lactuca sativa are excellent in inhibiting the formation of inflammation-related factors, IL6, IL8, CCL2, and CCL5 inhibit the formation of cell adhesion proteins, ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 and are effective in inhibiting monocytic cell adhesion, and thus do not show toxicity. In addition, based on an animal experiment, the extracts of Lactuca sativa did increase feed intake slightly, and yet did not cause significant differences in weight gain and feed efficiency and showed a significant decrease in the group fed on the high-cholesterol feed containing the extracts of Lactuca sativa, and thus may be beneficially used as a composition for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases, a cosmetic composition, a quasi-drug composition, and a food composition.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018본 발명은 식이성 상추 추출물을 함유하는 내피 염증성 질환 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 더욱 구체적으로 내피 염증성 관련 인자의 생산 저해, 세포부착 단백질의 생산 저해, 단핵구 세포의 부착 저해 효과를 나타내는 식이성 상추추출물을 함유하는 내피 염증성 질환 예방 또는 치료용 조성물 , 화장료 조성물, 의약외품 조성물, 식품 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면 식이성 상추 추출물은 염증 관련 인자인 IL6, IL8, CCL2, CCL5 생성 저해에 우수하며 또한, 내피 염증 기작에 관련되는 세포부착 단백질 ICAM-1, VCAM-1의 생성을 저해하고 단핵구 세포 부착 저해에 우수하여 독성을 나태내지 않았다. 또한 동물 실험을 토대로 상추 추출물이 식이섭취량을 약간 증가시키기는 하였지만 체중증가량 및 식이 효율에 유의적인 차이가 없으며 상추 추출물이 첨가된 고콜레스테롤 식이군에서 유의한 감소를 나타내는바 염증성 질환 예방 또는 치료용 조성물, 화장료 조성물, 의약외품 조성물 식품 조성물로 유용하게 사용 될 수 있다.
