A method for assessing calorie consumption of a person under set activity rate in unit time is disclosed. Said method includes a recording step, a maximum oxygen uptake calculation step, and a calorie conversion step used to convert oxygen uptake into calorie. Said recording step is to record said person’s age, weight, resting oxygen uptake, resting heart rate, instantaneous heart rate, and the heart rate in a three-minute step climbing test, and work in conjunction with said maximum oxygen uptake step and activity rate to obtain a target oxygen uptake of the person under test. Said calorie conversion step is to multiply said target oxygen uptake with an calorie conversion equation, so as to obtain the calorie consumption of the person under set activity rate in unit time.
