PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly provided with a hemostatic seal.SOLUTION: The catheter assembly includes a catheter hub (12) and a rigid actuator (16). The catheter hub (12) comprises: an open proximal end (20)； a distal end (22)； an interior cavity (24)defined between the proximal end and the distal end； and a catheter tube (14) extending distally from the distal end (22). The rigid actuator is fixed to the distal end (22) of the catheter hub (12) and extends proximally from the distal end (22) through to a proximal end free end (51) in the interior cavity (24) of the catheter hub (12).
