PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus where display switching is associated with scanning cross section switching, and also to provide the control program thereof.SOLUTION: When a plurality of ultrasonic images relative to a plurality of ultrasonic cross sections are acquired so as to display the respective images by distribution into the different areas of an image, the scanning cross section switching is associated with the display screen switching, thereby reducing a work load on an operator. For example, when the images corresponding to the respective vertical section and horizontal section acquired by using a biplane probe are doubly displayed, associated information is generated, where respective pieces of identification information of two ultrasonic vibrator strings are associated with information for identifying the right image and the left image.
