PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus the insert of which is easy to go through even a thin and intricately curved duct without either lowering the flexibility of the insert or increasing the entire apparatus in size.
SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus 1 is provided with an endoscope 2 including an insert 6 flexible enough to be inserted into a subject S, first fluid jet means 5 to jet out a fluid F1 from the proximal end side toward the distal end side of the endoscope 2, a flange 3 provided at the insert 6 of the endoscope 2 and overhanging it and first vibrating means 25 to vibrate the flange 3.
