PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus capable of reducing operation procedures by eliminating unnecessary measurement of positioning imaging, etc.SOLUTION: Using pointer devices 29 and 30 of an MRI apparatus placed in the upper part and on the right and left of a subject, a position and an inclination for targeting a feature part in the body of the subject as a measurement object is determined by moving/rotating first and second laser pointers while irradiating them to the subject. From the determined position and inclination, a measurement position and an amount of rotation in a measurement condition are automatically set.
