<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for efficiently producing a Para rubber tree polyploid which is very useful for breeding new varieties. This method is characterized in that colchicine treatment is performed on the seeds of a rooted Para rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis). In the present invention, the seeds are preferably taken after rooting but before germination. Colchicine treatment is preferably performed by bringing the seeds into contact with a colchicine solution having a colchicine concentration of 400 to 800 ppm.</p>
