PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring endoscope system in which when a pointing device such as a mouse is moved, the movement of the pointing device in the directions of an X axis and a Y axis are measured at a predetermined timing, and a measuring position can be moved at fine intervals.
SOLUTION: The system includes: an image capturing means for sampling, in a pixel unit, an image signal in which an observation target is imaged, and capturing it as image data a display means for displaying an image captured by the image capturing means a position specifying means for specifying a position on the image and a control means for calculating the amount and direction of movement of a moving operation based on the position specified by the position specifying means and calculating a position on the image displayed by the display means in a unit finer than the pixel unit.
