PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable application of the properties, proposed for a photoelectric conversion means, in imaging, observation or recording equipment.
SOLUTION: The endoscope includes a plurality of regularly arranged photoelectric converters made of a CIGS based membrane with 60% or more quantum efficiency each at visible light and infrared ray regions, and one or more pairs of light sources of red, green, blue and infrared color lightings arranged around the optic axis of imaging lenses. The illumination light sources are arranged so that they can have two or more lines of symmetry. The illumination light sources are arranged at a rotation object around the optical axis. The light sources of red, green and blue lightings are arranged in a group so that they cannot be divided into sections by the light source of infrared rays. The green light sources are made greater in number than the red and blue light sources. The imaging lens is changed in its angle of view and focus position between the times when visible light and infrared ray are separately used and when they are used at once.
