PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide oroticacid eye drops for treating, improving, or preventing eye disease.SOLUTION: An eye drop containing oroticacid and choline is prepared by dissolving and stirring oroticacid choline salt and glycerin in pure water to prepare an aqueous solution of oroticacid choline salt, subsequently adjusting pH to 6.6 with NaOH, and filtering with a filtration apparatus for sterilization. It is confirmed that the eye drop containing oroticacid and choline is administered to a soft contact lens user presenting corneal hypertrophy, and subsequently the subject takes a nap, resulting in a reduction of the ratio of corneal hypertrophy. The oroticacid eye drop includes an eye drop containing water-soluble oroticacid lysine salt, arginine salt, ornithine salt, and the like and a suspension type eye drop containing finely crushed materials of poorly water-soluble oroticacid.SELECTED DRAWING: NoneCOPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】眼病を治療、改善、又は予防するためのオロット酸点眼剤を提供すること。【解決手段】オロット酸コリン塩とグリセリンとを純水に溶解・撹拌してオロット酸コリン塩の水溶液を調製後、NaOHでpH6.6に調整、滅菌用濾過装置により濾過を行うことにより、オロット酸・コリン含有点眼薬を調製した。角膜肥厚を呈しているソフトコンタクトレンズ使用者に上記オロット酸・コリン含有点眼剤を点眼し、その後仮眠をとった被検者の角膜の肥厚の割合が減少することを確認した。オロット酸点眼剤としては、水溶性のオロット酸のリジン塩、アルギニン塩、オルニチン塩等を含むものや、水難溶性のオロット酸の金属塩の微粉砕物を含む懸濁液タイプのものがある。【選択図】なし
