The present invention provides a gain control circuit for gain compensation which filters a gain control signal by using a filter which is different depending on a diagnostic mode, and an ultrasound system including the same. The gain control circuit which is connected to a variable gain amplifying part for compensating for a gain of the variable gain amplifying part comprises: a signal generating part generating a digital control signal for controlling the gain of the variable gain amplifying part and a switching control signal a digital analogue converting part converting the digital control signal into an analogue control signal a first filter filtering the analogue control signal and outputting a first gain control signal a second filter filtering the analogue control signal and outputting a second gain control signal and a switching circuit selecting the first filter of the second filter based on the switching control signal.
