PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel cosmetics and drugs for promoting the expression of hyaluronan synthase gene that are useful for the enhanced production of hyaluronic acid.SOLUTION: Cosmetics for promoting the expression of hyaluronan synthase gene comprise pine bark extract as an active ingredient, wherein the promoting of the expression of hyaluronan synthase gene may be achieved by promoting the expression of platelet-derived growth factor receptor B gene.
