SOLUTION: A medical suction device 1 has a hollow main body portion 11, a suction tube 12 inserted into the main body portion 11 and sucking a suction material L of a liquid stored in a surgical field, and a tip of the main body portion 11. A tubular light guide member 13 through which the suction tube 12 exposed from the above passes through the inside, and a light emitting unit 14 installed in the main body 11 and irradiating the light guide member 13 with light. The light guide member 13 preferably has an uneven portion at the tip of the peripheral surface.
