The invention relates to novel Lactobacillus strains isolated from sourdough. Also encompassed is a composition comprising at least one of said Lactobacillus strains with optionally additional other microorganisms such as bacteria and/or yeasts. The invention further relates to the use of said Lactobacillus strains or compositions for the manufacture of human food products and food supplement products or animal feed products.
